My dear friend.
It’s been a while, but there’s not a day I don’t think about you. I miss you. We all do. It’s unbearable to think that you aren’t coming back. I went back to Berlin, I was at the How I met your Mother’s bar next to your apartment with friends and maybe I had way too many beers but then I couldn’t hold myself from searching your name in the board of the building. The classical Scharnefsky wasn’t there and I had pain in my stomach, I felt for some reason that that place was yours and you should still be there so I started removing some of the poorly made names taped over until I found yours, it was still there. You are still there. I felt so much calm and happiness to see your last name still there. I made a picture, hugged my partner and cried.
That was about two months ago and I got a new job today. From Monday I will be working in the European Space Agency and I’m ecstatic! It’s all I’ve ever wanted and it seems that finally all my efforts are paying off. I miss the chance to text you as we regularly did as friends, once every six months and tell the good, the bad and the ugly. This is good. I feel happy, after a lot of months I feel happy and proud of myself. So, I booked tickets to Berlin, again and alone, but this time will be to visit you, exclusively for the memorial of the three years you’ve spent out of this dimension. I wish you could be listening to the music I’m discovering or what I’m playing lately on the piano. There’s a tango that would put tears in your eyes. Damn, I miss you. Rest in power and music my bonitoman. Can’t wait to celebrate your life in a couple of days, it would be just perfect if you would be there. We certainly cannot fathom the pain of your death. There are so many people out there thinking of you and loving you dearly. I love you.
