Katarzyna "Kasia" Lenhardt (born April 27, 1995 in Leszno, Poland; † February 9, 2021 in Berlin-Charlottenburg) was a Polish model. In 2012 she took part in the seventh season of the model casting show Germany’s Next Topmodel and took fourth place.
Life
At the age of 16, the Berliner took part in the model casting show Germany’s Next Top Model. The season finale on June 7, 2012 was held for the first time with four candidates (Lenhardt, Sarah-Anessa Hitzschke, Luisa Hartema and Dominique Miller). Lenhardt took fourth place.
Lenhardt was seen in four episodes of Hell’s Kitchen on Sat.1 in 2014 and in three episodes of Models in Babyglück on RTL II in 2016.
At the beginning of 2015 Lenhardt became the mother of a son and in the same year began studying business administration in Berlin. In 2017, she separated from the childs father.
In October 2019, the first joint pictures of Lenhardt and the footballer Jérôme Boateng were seen. In early February 2021, Boateng announced the end of the relationship. According to ZEIT, the preliminary investigation against Boateng regarding possible bodily harm against Kasia Lenhardt, which was opened on December 20, 2019 and was suspended in June 2020, was resumed one day after her death. According to BILD, the reason for the procedure is an incident on October 3, 2019.
On February 9, 2021, Lenhardt was found dead in an apartment in Berlin-Charlottenburg. The Berlin police ruled out any third-party fault, which was confirmed by forensic doctor Michael Tsokos on the basis of an autopsy at the Berlin Charité.
Her death sparked a discussion about cyberbullying and the behavior of the tabloid media after the breakup with Boateng became known.
