Maik Ritschel visited Norway in august 1998, he came to my hometown with his family and stayed here for about 2 weeks. Me and Maik became friends, and I took him with me to my school and he came with me to my german class. We had a really great time together, we listened to music and he tried to learn me how to use his snakeboard. He had a great personality, and I thought he was the coolest guy i have ever met. When he went back to germany, we wrote some letters and talked with eachother on the phone. After a while we lost contact. As the years went by, I always wondered what he was doing, and i tried many times to find him on Facebook and internet. Yesterday I was looking through some old photos and there he was, so i googled him and found this site. And it breaks my heart to find out that he passed away only 18 years old.
