I stare at the stars and whisper your name.
The night holds your echo, but it’s not the same.
I reach through the darkness, but you’re out of sight.
Your memory keeps me awake.
I wish I could visit you in heaven for a while.
Sit down beside you and see your smile.
I would trade thousand moments for one with you.
Wish haven had a door I could walk through.
The wind carries your whispers, like you’re still here.
But it’s just the silence I’ve come to fear.
I talk to the moon like it’s got your face.
But nothing on earth can take your place.
If only the clouds could carry my weight I’d climb to the gates and hope they’d wait. Just for a moment to feel your embrace.
